“Founded in 1.933 by CARLOS GERSON GABOR, newly arrived from Hungary, which he left at the first signs of what would be the great holocaust of 20th. century, GABOR D'ETIQUETAS was a pioneer within the labels' sector, first as an importer and later, due to the difficulties in the foreign trade arising from the war in Europe, by starting local production.
At first producing printed labels by acquiring a secondhand printing press that was adjusted for fabric labels, GABOR D'ETIQUETAS has been consistently growing and modernizing itself.
Then, when the first jacquard looms for ribbons weaving were acquired the company's operating site, the garage of its founder's home, became too small. So, a small shed was rented in the Cambuci district, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.
GABOR D'ETIQUETAS also definitely contributed, through financial aid and strong acquisitions, towards the start of the local production of jacquard looms for ribbon weaving.
From a second shed, a bit larger, still in Cambuci, the company inaugurated in 1.970 its own headquarters, a 3.200m² building, in the Ipiranga district where it still operates with fully automated machinery, CAD/CAM, process control, a creation atelier, etc, always aiming to meet all of our clients' textile label needs, which is our specialty.”
